This is a handmade ceramic mural based on miniatures from the illuminated manuscript of 15th century „The Very Rich Hours of the Duke of Berry“ (Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry)
The manuscript was made by the Limbourg brothers in 1410 upon John of Berry’s request and was illustrated by a number of different artists until the end of 15th century. As of today the manuscript is exhibited in the Musée Condé in the Château de Chantilly along with the famous Gutenberg Bible)
Our ceramic mural replicates January with the New Year’s feast and the Duke of Berry, clothed in blue and sitting by the table at the center. The mural is done in the seamless slab technique. A massive barbecue complex in neo-roman style (the photos of which will be posted in due time) has been decorated with this mural
The handmade ceramic mural on wall is created in slab technique; the painting is made in majolica technique.
