A artistic ceramic tile mural recreating the Finding of Moses by the artist Laurence Alma-Tadema. The painting itself is amazing just like all the works of this Victorian era artist.
We tried to not spoil the overall impression of the work, to repeat the remarkably delicate lilac-yellow-blue gamut and preserve a certain vibe of the artistic ceramic tile mural, the one that causes a sense of beauty and inner fullness of the picture.
Lawrence Alma-Tadema was a painter of the Victorian era (1836-1912), whose works were primarily based on historical topics. Alma-Tadema’s painting style is distinguished by the extraordinary accuracy of transmitting objects of material culture fitting the displayed era.
The artist repeatedly took part in archaeological excavations, so the canvases he created turned into almost photographic monuments of the era. At the same time, the accuracy of the outlined artifacts never became a goal in itself, as is often the case with ‘naturalists’. Alma-Tadema’s works are filled with such vital energy, light and inner meaning that neither contemporaries, nor even descendants, ever blamed the artist for excessive academicism and a penchant for petty naturalism.
