About Russian Majolica

Russian Majolica

Our ceramic atelier is an association of artists and ceramists many of whom are members of various professional societies and associations based on family craft businesses.

This is why our works are of authorship even when we rework famous historical objects of art or use our standard molds.

This is also why you can get exceptional art objects made for your home in one singular exemplar. Even when they are made using our standard molds, there’s always a unique component to them: low relief murals, carved ceramics, art murals or complex multilayered brilliant glazing.

Faience chamotte, impressive glazes, completely handmade.

An elegant tiled fireplace Art Deco in complex glaze with pearl effect and crystals.

To get a similar effect of flicker and sparks in the required color, all the glazes had to be selected. However, the result exceeded all expectations! Glazes fused among themselves in such an incredible way that each firing gave us an indescribable sensation of visual delight from the play of light on the surfaces of tiles and other ceramic details.

The tiled fireplace Art Deco is undeniably a success! Glazes on it do not just shine, they light up and scatter out into many small crystals, concentrically radiating rainbow lines of color, resembling a starry sky of some far away galaxy. If you scroll through the photos to the end, you can see close-ups with crystals on the tile surface. The color of the fireplace is hard to describe – the gray-beige-pink base reflects with blue hues, and the rainbow stars sparkle with delicate turquoise-reddish flashes.

The tiled fireplace Art Deco turned out to be extraordinary – very gentle, aesthetic and complex. There is no doubt that the customer received a unique art object that no one will ever have, simply because the exact repetition of the glaze pattern is completely impossible.
