Aster Fireplace

A tiled fireplace, built in the spirit of antique circular stoves with a relief panel covering the cylindrical chimney.

The fireplace is designed into a classic interior and is intended to be the dominant feature in it, bringing together all the décor of the room. A great deal of work was done to select a complex shade of glaze – not blue, not green, not pure turquoise, but the deep and muted colour of a sea wave.

The embossed paneling with pointed aster stars is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau style, and the carpet filling with embossed tiles of the chimney’s cylindrical surface forms a complex rugged surface, on which the play of light and stunning translucent glaze create dynamics and rhythm that complicate the laconic architectural forms of the fireplace.

The tiled fireplace makes a stunning impression on the viewer with its combination of architectural simplicity and intricate relief surface, its simple classical structure and remarkable elegance, its obvious vintage and simultaneous consonance with the post-industrial era of the twenty-first century.
