We present to you a gentle watercolor ceramic fireplace with elements of national romanticism style, lined with glossy majolica tiles and a large mural with an embossed deer.
National romanticism is a style of the Art Nouveau era, also called Northern Art Nouveau. In ceramics, the style is characterized by usage of ornamental motifs borrowed from nature in the decor, as well as laconic architectural forms, and the use of decorative glaze effects.
Our tiled ceramic fireplace is completely built on these principles: it uses a translucent glaze, emphasizing the relief friezes of oak branches folded into a delicate ornamental frame of the fireplace opening and panels.
Sparkling glossy glaze with some crackle gently contrasts with the matte walls of the same shade, and in general the ceramic fireplace is fully fitting in the interior coloristically, distinguished only by texture, and not dominating it. Subtle color gradations of the glaze play in the light, flicker in the shadows and fully support the overall color and stylistic concept of the interior.
A rather brutal embossed deer, surrounded by elegant ornaments, calmly gazes down from high above, and in this paradoxical combination the whole harmony of the world is expressed, combining the feminine and the masculine.
